Leading Going Forward

It has been roughly a year since Barack Obama was sworn in as the 43rd President of the United States. With him came a sense that a new movement and atmosphere was upon us. However, unfortunately, not everything has panned out as such. Some of the blame could go to Obama while some could go to the Democrats for not getting their message across in a clear and concise matter or the Republicans for delaying important appointments and initiatives in favor of political capital in most cases. That aspect of convoluted government and its leaders drowning each other out has not benefited the people. Then I came across two articles in the Washington Post that came be incorporated in the notion of fixing leadership and conviction and a need to gather a movement for a purpose. The combination of both will take the cloud of negativity and decrease it and get the administration and country back on track.

Barack Obama: A leader without a cause: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/04/AR2010010402720.html?nav=hcmoduletmv

Without a movement, progressives can't aid Obama's agenda: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/05/AR2010010502989.html?nav=hcmoduletmv

After looking at these articles, it is clear what mistakes have been made and the adjustments that can be made...in terms of leading going forward. Without a strategy or a movement in support, then public opinion will not aide the causes of those looking to make strides. With the adjustments noted in mind, 2010 can end a lot better than 2009.
